Sunday sunsets and saturday mornings at ocean beach
Ocean Dance gathers at Ocean Beach in San Francisco for sunset sessions of 90 minutes and morning sessions of 60 minutes. Each session has its own theme, following the turn of the seasons. Dates are published on the calendar below.

A safe container for free expression through dance and movement. As the sun sets, gather with us to experience a transformative dance session that embraces the elements, whether it's fog, wind, or a stunning sunset.
Live music from local musicians and invited DJs.

Saturday Morning
Embodied Prayer
Morning · 60 minutes · Ocean Beach, between stairs 3 and 4
A sacred space for our community to practice embodying prayer and lifting our spirits together. An opportunity to turn inward, explore the silence within, and cultivate a deeper, more personal connection to spirit.
Ends in a sharing circle.
Drop-in $30, sliding scale optional.
Embodied Prayer offers a more intimate and introspective experience compared to our vibrant and celebratory Ocean Dance sessions on Sundays. While Ocean Dance embraces the energy of a larger community gathering, Embodied Prayer is an opportunity to turn inward, explore the silence within, and cultivate a deeper, more personal connection to spirit.
The turning year
Ocean Dance is not a fixed class. Every session has a name and the names follow the wheel of the year. Solstices, equinoxes, full moons, new moons, the shift of a season. You are never arriving at quite the same practice twice.

Sliding scale optional. Sunset 90 minutes with headphones, morning 60 minutes with a sharing circle.
Simple Pass
$50
Access to 2 dance sessions per month. Ideal for those new to the Ocean Dance experience.
Full Pass
$100
Unlimited access to all morning and sunset dance sessions. Perfect for those who want to fully immerse in the Ocean Dance community.
All plans include access to an intimate WhatsApp group, where we continue to connect in the space between.
Scholarships and sliding-scale options are available for those who need them. A portion of every offering is given back to communities and organizations devoted to protecting our oceans and the living Earth.

What you bring
Bring a water bottle, warm layers, a blanket or towel to sit on (something you don’t mind getting sandy), and anything that helps you feel comfortable and cared for, like a warm drink or a snack for afterward.
What we bring
We provide the silent disco headphones, the music, the guided journey, and the experience with all of you resonating in and through nature.
